Taste Meets History in Chiusi: Valdichiana Eating returns with Km0 Products and Etruscan Treasures

In the heart of the Valdichiana Senese, one of the most anticipated events for food lovers and those seeking authentic experiences is back. On Saturday, May 10th and Sunday, May 11th, 2025, Chiusi will host the 7th edition of Valdichiana Eating: a weekend dedicated to km0 products.

Piazza Duomo, a gem of the historic center, will transform into a market of local producers, featuring the agri-food excellences of Valdichiana and Val d’Orcia. It will be the perfect opportunity to taste specialties such as Brustico, a traditional dish made with lake fish, or Minuta Olive Oil, a true rarity of the area, accompanied by tastings at the wine & oil corner.

But Valdichiana Eating is not just about taste: it is a true journey through flavors and culture, where every experience tells the deep story of this territory. In the streets of Chiusi, you will find workshops for children, pop-up craft activities, and interesting cultural insights. Between flavors and traditions, you can participate in guided tours and special openings of museums for an authentic immersion in the wealth of the place.

You can visit the cathedral museum and the "Labirinto di Porsenna", which runs beneath the city, with a special opening of the Cantoria del Duomo and the Tower of San Secondiano, or you can dedicate yourself to visiting the catacomb of Santa Mustiola, patron saint of the city, and another astonishing legend. Don’t miss the Civic Museum with its "Epigraphic" section, entirely set up in underground tunnels, and the National Etruscan Museum, which holds many rare and precious artifacts.

The event will also be an opportunity to experience unique activities outside traditional circuits, immersing yourself in a landscape that speaks of memory, nature, and flavors.
