Three days stay in Valdichiana Senese on the track of Dante Alighieri and his Divina Commedia between Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso. An original journey discovering the Tuscany of Valdichiana Senese with its medieval hamlets, revisiting histories, legends and characters of Valdichiana mentioned by Dante Alighieri.
Your stay in Valdichiana Senese between Torrita di Siena and Sinalunga will be completed by wine and food experiences, visits of villages and underground tunnels, like a real descent to hell.
The journey starts from Montepulciano, the city of Vino Nobile, discovering the underground cellars in the historic centre. Then you will visit Sinalunga, the village of Chianina. In the morning you will visit a Chianina breeding farmhouse and the you will have a tasting lunch with Chianina meat. In the afternoon you will visit the hamlet of Sinalunga and you will descend to the hell discovering the underground tunnels of the village.
Then you will reach the Purgatorio visiting Torrita di Siena and tasting typical salami and craft beer. This village is linked to the character of Ghino di Tacco; Dante Alighieri talked about him in the sixth Canto of Purgatorio.
Your journey in Valdichiana Senese will end with a relaxing bath to thermal pools of Chianciano Terme, where you will complete the ascent to Paradise.
