Du' Pici sotto le Stelle
From June 6th to 8th, in the historic center of Chianciano Terme, the typical dish of Valdichiana Senese is celebrated
Flour, water, and salt: three simple ingredients that in Valdichiana Senese give life to a dish that is tradition and authenticity. Pici are one of the highlights of the gastronomy of Valdichiana Senese: they are irregular and coarse spaghetti, invariably handmade. A humble dish, usually dressed with Chianina meat or duck ragù and aglione della Valdichiana (a peculiar kind of local garlic).
In Chianciano Terme, the event celebrating this dish returns for the tenth edition, set against the backdrop of the historic center of the village. The appointment is scheduled from Friday, June 6th, to Sunday, June 8th, in the welcoming Piazzolina dei Soldati.
