In Sinalunga, everything is ready for the event that unites the local community: the traditional Fiera alla Pieve will be held from Saturday, October 3rd to Sunday, October 11th.
The Fiera represents a showcase for the entire Valdichiana region, for local traditions, and for the typical products that bear this land's name around the world, starting with the prized Chianina beef, which has its roots in the Sinalunga area. Originally, the Fiera lasted three days, falling in the second week of October, during the celebrations for the Madonna del Rosario, enshrined in the Pieve di San Pietro ad Mensulas. Hundreds of pilgrims from central Italy came to Sinalunga to honor the Madonna, and they were followed by butchers who provided refreshment for the weary pilgrims.
For over a century, this initiative has been a meeting place and a place for exchanging experiences, laying the foundation for new projects capable of protecting, enhancing, and promoting the area.
